ME/CFS Interim Delivery Plan – Next Steps

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has provided an update on next steps on the Interim Delivery Plan which has now closed for consultation for submissions online.
Around 3,500 responses were received which is a significant response from the community and much larger than many other consultation responses.
The closing date for this people already in receipt of the ‘Easy Read’ consultation document is 30 October 2023.
A public report summarising the consultation responses must be published within 12 weeks. Given the high number of responses, it is likely that DHSC will need the full 12 weeks to produce this report, which we will share as soon as it’s published.
This report will summarise the key findings from the consultation.
DHSC will then engage with key stakeholders before a final report is published early next year.
