UPDATE Priority shopping: "extremely vulnerable" list

April 09, 2020

Following the steps taken by Action for M.E. and other UK charities over the last few weeks, representatives from various supermarkets have responded detailing the steps they are taking to help those on the Government’s official "extremely vulnerable" list. This is a list put together by the Government and Public Health England, to ensure those who are clinically vulnerable to Covid-19 receive support to isolate themselves at home.

We understand that some people with M.E. and/or CFS have been added to this list after asking their GP to request this for them. Because of this, they are now able to access priority home delivery slots and additional support.

We want to hear from you about whether you are on this list, whether it was automatic or if you had to request it. We also want to know if your GP has been unwilling to help you onto the list. Please email our team, or add your comment to this story on Facebook, where you can experiences of other people with M.E.

The information you share with us will help us understand more about how we can help and signpost people with M.E. at this difficult time, and campaign for more effective support where needed.
