Scotland consultation on Adult Disability Payment

The Scottish Government is consulting on the draft regulations for Adult Disability Payment (ADP), a new Scottish benefit that will replace Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
Delivered by Social Security Scotland, the new ADP is provided to disabled individuals between the ages of 16 and state pension age to mitigate the additional costs of living with a disability or health condition.
During the consultation phase for the new ADP, the Scottish Gov are looking to collect views on the policy and draft regulations and identify gaps and issues that need addressing.
We hope that this opportunity to correct mistakes made by the DWP will be used by the Scottish Government. It is essential that these services are designed in partnership with those who will rely on the service and trust restored. We will monitor this closely and assess the impact on people with M.E./CFS.
