Trusts and foundations

The support of trusts and foundations is essential in providing not only our vital support services but a wide range of projects designed to support people affected by M.E., their families, friends, carers and professionals working with them.

These include:

  • our Information and Support service, offering vital advice and signposting by telephone, online and by post
  • our Welfare Advice Support Service which ensures people with M.E. receive the specialist advice they need to secure the financial support they are entitled to
  • this Online M.E. Centre, which receives more than 60,000 visits each month
  • our Clare Francis Research Fund to allow us to fund research to improve our understanding, diagnosis and treatment of M.E.
  • our SEE M.E. employment pilot project for people with M.E. who are aspiring to seek or stay in work
  • our Inform M.E. project to enhance the knowledge and understanding of M.E. among GPs and healthcare professionals

We would like to thank the many trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies whose support has enabled us to extend our reach to even more people affected by M.E. Organisations such as The Big Lottery Fund; The Lloyds Bank Foundation; The Henry Smith Charity; The Rayne Foundation; The Garfield Weston Foundation; The Masonic Charitable Foundation; The John Jarrold Trust.

These and many others have given generously during the past year, providing a key stream of income to ensure we can deliver the support we promise to people affected by M.E. on a national level. With the launch of our new five-year strategy in June 2016, we look forward to building our relationships with these trusts and working together to ensure that the voice of people with M.E. is heard.
