Much of the work that we do at Action for ME is made possible by our fantastic volunteers. Some have been with us for many years, while others gain valuable experience over shorter periods of time. From volunteering with our Advocacy team to supporting our administrative, communications, and fundraising teams, we strive to ensure that volunteers are involved across our work.
Anyone can volunteer for Action for ME. Although some of our roles may require specific knowledge or experience, many of our role just require time, enthusiasm, and a commitment to Action for M.E.’s mission. Any specific knowledge or experience requirements will be clearly outlined in the role’s Volunteer Role Description.
The amount of time required is different for each role. Volunteering can be hugely rewarding and the hours are more flexible than paid work. Expected time commitments will be clearly laid out in the Volunteer Role Description.
People volunteer with Action for ME for lots of different reasons, from meeting new people and supporting their community, to making a difference and learning valuable skills.
