*UPDATE 01.12.2025
As Secretariat for the APPG on ME, we have been asked to communicate a change to the agenda for the upcoming meeting.
Following the recent Westminster Hall Debate and Overlapping Illness Alliance drop-in, the APPG would like to ensure the momentum and focus on ME created by these events is continued. Updates and next steps for both events will be given at the upcoming meeting, with a specific focus being given to addressing the lack of strategic ME research investment and provision of specialist services for severe and very severe ME.
Recognising its importance, the APPG wants to ensure that enough time can be given to the severe ME evidence enquiry session, and this will therefore be conducted at its January meeting. The date for this is to be confirmed and we will communicate this with you as soon as possible.
MPs will be informed of the change of agenda.
As a reminder, the meeting will continue on from the last evidence hearing session as part of the Group's severe ME enquiry. All members have been sent an evidence pack containing a variety of stories from people with lived experience of severe ME, and they will be discussing the evidence in this session.
A report will then be developed, outlining a number of recommendations supported by the APPG, focused on improving the care and support available for people living with severe ME. This report will be shared publicly.
