It's that time of year again! Can you help us raise £135,000 to improve lives and accelerate understanding for anyone affected by ME?
Donate online through the Big Give's website between the 2nd and 9th December to see your gift DOUBLED.
What are we raising money for?
Action for ME are the only UK charity providing direct services, including healthcare, to people with ME of all ages. Our services have been described as a 'lifeline'.
By donating to our Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025 between the 2nd and 9th December, you'll help us:
- Provide over 2,000 people affected by ME with access to the information, support, healthcare, and advocacy that they desperately need.
- Accelerate understanding of ME through education, biomedical research, and support the next generation of ME researchers through our Future Leaders Network.
- Provide our peer support services to help over 400 people with ME build connections and reduce their isolation.
- Increase our network of Parliamentary Champions and amplify the voices and experiences of people with ME at Government level.
- Ensure that people with ME are at the centre of research studies and have their lived experience valued by researchers.
The impact of last year's campaign
Last year, the money raised during our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign helped us to:
- Respond to over 1,100 requests for information and support from adults and children with ME. 91% had increased understanding of their rights and options following contact with us.
- Continue to support younger researchers in the ME field through our Future Leaders Network, and build on the success of our DecodeME study through our Genetics Centre of Excellence research partnership with the University of Edinburgh.
- Provide 215 bursaries to people on low incomes, helping them to access specialist healthcare, including Doctors and Physiotherapists.
- Launch an Essay Competition for Medical Students across the UK, helping ensure the next generation of Doctors understand ME and can better support their patients with the condition.
