Blue Sunday 2026

Champion fundraiser Anna Redshaw’s Blue Sunday Tea Party for ME is back for 2026!

Anna first launched her Blue Sunday event in 2013, as a way to fundraise for ME charities around the world and break the isolation so often experienced by people with ME.

Since the first Tea Party for ME in 2013, Anna has raised over £140,000 for ME charities.

Join Anna and Action for ME for the Tea Party for ME on 17 May, and help raise vital funds and awareness for people living with ME.

How do I take part?

Join us for this year’s Blue Sunday Tea Party on Sunday 17 May:

  • Wear something blue (pyjamas count!)
  • Dig out your best cups and saucers
  • Bake or buy your favourite cake
  • Post a photo of your tea party to social media (you can use the hashtags #BlueSunday2026 and #TeaPartyForME2026)
  • Invite others to enjoy tea and cake with you in-person, via video call, or by sharing photos
  • Donate the price you’d pay in a café to an ME charity
  • Connect with others online who are doing the same

You can find out more about Blue Sunday on Anna’s website.

How do I fundraise for Action for ME?

Anna’s Blue Sunday event fundraises for a range of charities through Blue Sunday, including Action for ME and we are very grateful for the support from Anna and the ME community.

There are a number of ways you can support us:

  • If you’re hosting your own tea party, you can set up your own fundraising page on a website, such as JustGiving.
  • You can donate via the Action for ME Just Giving fundraising page.
  • If you’re hosting an in-person tea party, you might like to collect cash, which you can then bank and pay via our Blue Sunday Just Giving page.  If you would like fundraising materials for your in-person event, or would like to pay in your donations by bank transfer, then contact our fundraising team by emailing fundraising@actionforme.org.uk or call 0117 927 9551.

How do I connect with others on the day?

Make sure to follow Anna and Action for ME on social media to stay up to date with the Blue Sunday plans!
