“It is difficult to express what a difference getting a cure would make to me and to those I know still suffering from M.E. For me, it took a huge chunk of my life.
“Trying to cope with watching life pass by whilst having to endure the terrible feelings of illness and constant relapse pushed my coping abilities to the limits.
“I did not know whether I would ever recover and the lack of good research was a source of great despair.
“M.E. is a truly terrible illness that takes away people’s lives, condemning them to many hours of frustrating rest and solitary confinement. Biomedical research has been delayed for far too long and hope needs to be brought to those afflicted.”
