Edinburgh Marathon Festival

Choose your distance - full marathon, half marathon, 10k or a team relay. Raise funds and awareness whilst running through the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Enjoy fast and flat full or half marathon routes, participate in Scotland's largest mass participation sports event.

Voted the fasted marathon in the UK by Runner's World, great for setting a personal best with picturesque views.

Join forces as a team of 4 to complete the Edinburgh Marathon.

Get the kids involved! Events for under 18s in Holyrood Park.
Junior 5k for 11 - 18 year olds

Junior 1.5k for 6 - 8 year olds
Kids 1k for 3 - 6 year olds

How can I take part?

We fund your place in the event, and in return you agree to raise a minimum amount of money and pay a registration fee (amounts below). View full terms & conditions.

    • £80 registration fee
    • £750 minimum fundraising required
  • Half Marathon
    • £40 registration fee
    • £350 minimum fundraising required
  • 10k and 5k
    • £35 registration fee
    • £250 minimum fundraising required
  • Team Relay (4 people)
    • £100 registration fee (per team)
    • £750 minimum fundraising (per team)
  • Junior Events
    • £25 registration fee
    • £35 minimum fundraising required
